Hallin Fell is beautifully situated overlooking Ullswater and is 1 of the 214 Wainwright fells (hills or mountains) in the Lake District. At an altitude less than 1300 feet and easily accessible from St Peters church in Martindale it is one of the easiest walks to get us started, particularly as some of the higher fells are covered in snow and ice at the moment. A bit chilly but beautiful 360 degree views from the 12 foot obelisk at the top!
