After the visit to Aira Force last week we returned today with some more time which allowed us to climb up to Gowbarrow Fell. Parking at the National Trust car park and following the well marked path past the falls, a path heads up to Gowbarrow which (today) was extremely boggy and slippery. The views to Ullswater in the late afternoon light, however, made it worthwhile along with views to the Mell Fells and Blencathra.
